Thanks for 3 years of helping with Ferner Field
The Paper Collection Drive is over. Three years ago this month, Bob Clites began collecting newspapers, books and magazines and sorting them to be taken to the collection point in Altoona, with every cent going to the repair of Ferner Field after the Flood of 2004. And, so many people joined in the collection drive that the funds continued to be used to help with the maintenance and improvement of the Field. But, when Bob's health failed, only Frank Ieraci and his wife were willing to help with the daily collections and the weekly trips to the collection point. It became too much, so it's now over. But, thousands of dollars of funds were raised, and we want to congratulate Bob and also Frank for enduring when no one else would help.
